We have re configured this old church hall into a European Style Bed and Breakfast – meaning that we provide BED AND BREAKFAST. We are not a hotel, and we are not a back-packers. We do not have WiFi, we do not provide a laundry service and nor do we have a kitchen as that would be called ‘Self Contained’ here in Australia.
What we do provide is a comfortable bed, quiet setting, barbecue facilities and the opportunity to relax and chill out!!
Our price reflects the facilities offered in this marvelous Tasmanian Country setting and we welcome overseas and Australian guests to share this with us!
St Paul’s is close to Derby’s cafe’s on the main street, and it is located across the street from the Historic Tin Center and Derby Museum. Overseas guests please note that the cafes are open only until approx. 5:00 -7:00 pm.
Meals are available every evening (except Sundays’) at Branxholm Hotel, Branxholm (8 km from Derby)
As you ‘rest in peace’ (LOL) you can hear the gentle sounds of the Ringarooma River 30 meters away. Wildlife abounds in the evenings with possums and wallaby’s just outside your door. We will give you a flashlight to check them out!
Note: Guests travelling from other areas of Australia who have their phone with Optus may find that their mobile will not work 1/2 hour out of Launceston, however, we have a convenient ‘online center’ located across the street – open limited hours on weekdays so that you can check your emails, send faxes etc.
